Anonymous official to publish book on Trump’s presidency
The author, whose name has not been identified, created a stir in Washington DC when in September last year he said in a text published in The New York Times that inside the White House there are people working to thwart “part of the agenda and the worst inclinations of Trump”.
As the Times explained Tuesday, the author, who will remain anonymous in the new book, is represented by Matt Latimer and Keith Urbahn of Javelin, the literary agency to which other public figures such as former Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey and Republican Senator Martha McSally belong.
In a press release, the publisher described the book as “a shocking, first-hand account of President Trump and his record, “which follows on from the opinion piece in the Times that the White House chief attacked at the time.
According to Latimer, co-founder of Javelin, to CNN, the anonymous official plans to donate most of the proceeds from the sale of the text and is not motivated by money to tell the story.
Who wrote A Warning rejected the possibility of a seven-figure advance and intends to donate a substantial amount of royalties to the White House Correspondents Association and other organizations fighting for a free press that seeks the truth, he said.
According to information released today by the Times, that person’s identity is known by the department of the newspaper’s editorial page, but not by the news area or the reporters who cover the White House, and it is unclear whether he or she is still part of the administration.
