This 24 February: An Immense ‘‘YES’’

People living outside of Cuba do not always come to understand our realities.  First they have to get the corresponding information and of course it has to be truthful

Is that possible in those countries whose governments are politically and economically subordinated to the United States, and its political and trade partners?  

Of course not.  In these places dominate the multinationals of large budgets since they own most of the natural and productive resources.  You have only to listen read and see the radio, the written and television press of the large media corporations, owned also by the large international capital.  

People from other countries are systematically bombarded by propaganda in its different forms and methods, and are forced unconsciously, to dress, fit and feed with the products that subliminally arrive at each moment.  

What do you know about Cuba? Well, only what most of the national and international mass media informe you; and of course, through those attractive lies that, repeated again and again, become to seem like truths in a certain moment.  But it is not necessary to be surprised, it is the same procedure used in the elections to give the victory to the presidents, senators and representatives in those countries, architects of large capital.  

The peoples, deceived, are betrayed by politicians of the moment.  

Yes, in Cuba exists a true participatory democracy; and yes, the power belongs to the people and all the leaders elected from the base, report back about their management to their voters.  

That’s why the United States do everything as possible to subvert our system.  They have attacked us, in every possible way, during these 60 years.

Now they want to apply the title lll of the Helms Burton Law as an attempt to make us surrender to their petty interests by starvation and needs.  They want to kill the example that Cuba represents for the world.   

This 24 February,as a response to such evilness and throughout our history, the Cuban people, worthy, honest and courageous, will vote an immense YES for their independence and sovereignty, for the Homeland and Socialism, for their heroes and martyrs, for Céspedes, Martí and Fidel.
