This month the French Culture reserves a program full of music, movie, plastic arts, literature, among other options

This is the second time this event, in which the French Movie Festival is one of its main attractions, gets inserted in Havana’s culture. The film exhibition is presented in Cuba on its 20th occasion and is part of the activities of the month dedicated to France.

Since April and throughout May the movies Chaplin, Yara, Riviera, La Rampa and Infanta Multicinema will catch the eyes of moviegoers who seek contemporary films. It is the chance to be in tune with a rich creative field by means of titles like Tour de France, Fatima, La Vache, Le Petit Prince and many others.

It will also be possible to attend the presentation of the book Discovery of the French poet Christian Noël Fournier. This is scheduled for May 18 at 17:00 . the bilingual book will allow access to the work of Noël in French and Spanish, a possibility that will allow to appreciate the attractive exercise of translation.

Another art expression inserted in the program designed for these more than 30 days is musical interpretation. The grand finale of the 33rd Francophone Song Contest will take place on May 24 at 20:00 hours in Mella Theatre.  

According to the La Bohème cultural bulletin, 12 finalists from Santiago de Cuba and Havana, will be present in the semi-finals.

The guided tours for the French collection of the National Museum of Decorative Arts will also be available for the public. The tour makes special emphasis on the fans that belonged to Dulce María Loynaz.

These and many others will be the opportunities offered by the consecutive weeks dedicated to discovering or revisiting the French art.
